Vision
Socially responsible leaders and active agents of change who transform society through
compassionate service, justice, and care for creation, living as faithful Witnesses to the
Word in the world.

Mission
We commit to forming students and members of the school community through
meaningful and transformative service anchored in the Christian call to love and service.

By fostering awareness of social realities, standing in solidarity with “the least, the last,
and the lost,” and promoting responsible stewardship of creation, we integrate faith,
learning, and action. Through collaborative partnerships and sustained community
engagement, we nurture individuals who serve with integrity, compassion, and a deep
commitment to the common good.

The Community Engagement and Service Program is a structured and sustained
initiative that promotes meaningful participation across the entire school community.
It is guided by the four characteristic dimensions of the Society of the Divine Word
(SVD): Biblical Apostolate, Mission Animation, Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation
(JPIC), and Communication. The program is also aligned with the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring both faith-based direction and global
relevance.

Key Program Areas

• Institutional Apostolate
  School-wide initiatives such as donation drives, relief operations, and fundraising
  activities that promote generosity and collective action.
• Educational Assistance
  Programs that support access to education through scholarships, tutorials, and
  resource-sharing with partner communities.
• Social Action and Volunteer Engagement
  Formation programs, outreach activities, and service-learning opportunities that
  enable students, personnel, and other school stakeholders to live out their faith
  through concrete acts of service.
• Environmental Stewardship
  Initiatives that promote ecological awareness and sustainable practices, including
  tree planting, waste management, and environmental campaigns.
• Health Services
  Activities such as blood donation drives that encourage volunteerism and
  contribute to life-saving efforts.

At the core of the school’s outreach efforts is the Lingap Judenite Program, a
structured framework that engages students in meaningful, age-appropriate service.
Through hands-on experiences, students live out the values they learn while developing
empathy, social awareness, and a commitment to serving others from the classroom to
the wider community.

Guided by reflection, collaboration, and engagement with partner communities, students
are formed to serve with purpose and integrity.

The OCD works closely with partner communities, charitable institutions, and
organizations to ensure that programs remain responsive, relevant, and sustainable.
These partnerships foster mutual growth and shared responsibility.

Within the school, the Office collaborates with academic departments, student
organizations, and support units to integrate service into both curricular and co-
curricular experiences.

All OCD programs are carefully planned, implemented, and evaluated to ensure their
effectiveness and long-term impact. Through continuous monitoring, reflection, and
collaboration, the Office remains responsive to evolving community needs.

Through the Office of Community Development, Saint Jude Catholic School forms
individuals who not only excel in their respective roles but also lead lives of purpose,
serving others with faith, compassion, and a genuine commitment to building a better
world.
