It is with great pride and pleasure to announce the availability of our school’s wi-fi service – SJCSWIFI.
SJCSWIFI is free for all members of the SJCS community – students, teachers, parents and office personnel.
Todate, areas covered are the following:
- Ground Floor Dining Hall
- Fifth Floor Dining Hall
- Third Floor Faculty Area
Depending on the demand, we will continue to expand SJCSWIFI's coverage areas.
We would like to stress, however, that this privilege should be enjoyed and used with responsibility and care.

OBJECTIVES
- Provide Judenites with another avenue in furthering their learning/educational process;
- Encourage Judenites to embrace technology;
- Expose members of our school community to the world wide web of knowledge, information, news, social networking etc.
- Enhance community camaraderie;
REGISTRATION
- To be able to avail of the SJCSWIFI service, a member of the community (student, teachers, parent or office personnel) must bring and register his/her internet-capable device (laptop, netbook, smartphone, handhelds etc) with the ICT Department. In view of the limited internet bandwidth of the school, we will, for the meantime, allow one device per person.
- All registered devices will be given free wi-fi internet access for the duration of this school year (SY 2010-11).
- All users must comply with the Terms & Conditions.
REGISTRATION SCHEDULE
To avoid possible queues, the following schedule will be followed:

| Grades 1 to 3 Students | September 1 to September 8 |
| Parents | September 1 onwards |
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Rationale
- To maintain the wise utilization of the school’s limited internet bandwidth and resources;
- To protect the school network from viruses, malware, hacking and other malicious activities;
- To ensure that the usage of this service will be consistent with the objectives of SJCSWIFI;
1. Manner of use of SJCSWIFI must be consistent with the ethical standards accepted by the SJCS community.
2. SJCSWIFI may not be used to violate applicable laws or regulations.
3. The service must not be used in a malicious manner. Examples of this unacceptable form of use include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Impersonation and/or Identity Theft
- Harassment, Libel, Slander of other users
- Violation of privacy of the other users
- Destruction or damage to hardware and/or software that belongs to SJCS
- Access of gambling or sexually explicit sites
- Attempting to breach the school’s computer network
- Engaging in fraudulent activities
4. Peer-to-peer downloading such as Torrents and Limewire is prohibited as this will unnecessarily hog SJCSWIFI’s internet bandwidth.
5. Use of SJCSWIFI network that will unnecessarily impede the computing activities of other users is prohibited.
6. Unless permitted or authorized by SJCS management, SJCSWIFI will not be used for commercial purposes.
7. If found culpable of any violation, SJCS reserves the right to revoke a member’s internet privileges.
8. SJCS may at any time make determinations that particular uses are or are not consistent with the Objectives of SJCSWIFI.
9. The school reserves the right to discontinue this free service if it finds this to be in any way detrimental to its overall well-being.
